JESSICA’S TOP 5 TIPS FOR BRIDES WHEN WEDDING PLANNING 

1) Before you do anything, call a wedding planner and get pricing. We are not as expensive as you think. If you hire us from the beginning we can help you keep the budget on track from day 1. It gets tough when you start booking things right from the beginning. It keeps you from having wiggle room that we could have had the opportunity to talk you through before.

2) Do not compare your wedding to your friends or something in a magazine. Your wedding is YOUR wedding. If you have an idea that someone else thinks is crazy, who cares. It is your day and is supposed to represent who you two are as a couple. Do what makes you excited!

3) Compare venues and vendors. Pricing can be all over the place when it comes to vendors. Do not hesitate to go to a florist and tell them exactly what you just told the last florist. Getting comparative quotes can help you get the best deal.

4) Book your wedding venue first and if you can, be flexible on the date. Here in Williamsburg we are limited on our venue options. There are not many available and they book up quick. If you can be flexible on your date you have more of a chance to book your dream venue.

5) Find your theme and stick with it. With Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and other social media outlets, it is so easy to get overwhelmed with different themes and ideas. If you like a specific color scheme, stick with it. When planning your wedding 8 months or more out, it is easy to find new things that you want to do. Do your best to stick with one theme and make it amazing.
