Wedding Co. of Williamsburg | Vendor Spotlight

This beautiful soul is Jessica, wedding planner extraordinaire and owner of Wedding Co. Of Williamsburg, LLC. I LOVE meeting other small businesses in the wedding industry! I have spent the past few years making great relationships with photographers and decided this year I would start reaching out to other local wedding vendors! Jessica is SUPER sweet and super talented! We got together to take some quick headshots and she blew me away with how quickly she put together this cute little set up! If she can whip this up in a few minutes, just imagine how fabulous her weddings are haha! Jess is an amazing resource for all things weddings and I’m happy to feature her on the blog today. Get to know Jess through our Q&A below and keep scrolling check out her headshots, attention to detail and BRIGHT SMILE throughout the rest of the post! 🙂

Tell us about yourself! Why did you get into wedding planning?
Ever since I was 17 years old, I knew I wanted to be a wedding planner. I always enjoyed decorating, getting creative and helping others plan trips, organize their parties, etc. I was lucky enough to know what I wanted at a young age. I knew I wanted to settle in Williamsburg where I grew up and I knew I wanted to be a wedding planner and have my own company. After years of working for other planners and working at high end resorts, I decided it was time. My awesome husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, wrote a check out in my name for $500.00 and told me he wanted me to match it to start Wedding Co. of Williamsburg, LLC. He has been there through the beginning of my dream and has been so supportive in helping my dream come true. Next thing we knew, we were successfully running Wedding Co. of Williamsburg, LLC., married and living out our dream.

Why should brides hire a wedding planner?
There are so many reasons couples should hire a wedding planner, but the main reason is we know who all the best vendors are as well as where to get all the best pricing. If we are good at what we do, we should be able to tell you every option that fits your budget, your guest capacity, and the décor you would like. Having the guidance and negotiation skills of a planner helps couples get on the right track and keep within a budget. If a couple does not need help with the planning, they surely don’t want to execute their wedding day on the day of, so that is something we help with. At Wedding Co., we say, we want you to be a guest at your own wedding. You shouldn’t wonder what the next step is. You should enjoy your time, mingle with friends and family and take in one of the most beautiful days of your lives.

What is your favorite wedding trend?
Right now, I am so into farmhouse style tables, X-back wood chairs, neutral colors and lots of DIY detail. I am a sucker for a French country garden wedding!

What are your favorite venues?
My favorite venues are the ones that allow couples to put their personal wedding touches on the space. A blank slate with character allows me to be creative and open the couple up to many different décor options. In Williamsburg, my favorite space right now has to be Colonial Heritage. Their expansive gardens, incredible marble foyer and southern charm overwhelms me every time I walk in!
