Is it just me or did the month of January feel EXTRA long?! Haha! Either way, it was an amazing kick off to the year!! I’m back with my monthly recap/look ahead and it’s a good one! I just had to share this pic of our cute pup, Bentley! I was just trying to take a few stock photos and he just got all up in my business 🙂 Pretty typical when I work from home!
January recap!
Snow, snow and more snow! Good grief! I think kids were home more days than they were in school in January haha! It came down on Hampton Roads two weeks in a row! Koa’s finally at an age where he can really enjoy it and he couldn’t get enough!
One of the highlights of January was taking Koa to MONSTER JAM! He’s pretty obsessed with monster trucks so I thought he would be the loudest kid in the venue. Nope, he had a face of ‘awe’ the entire time LOL! He really took it all in and then couldn’t stop talking about for a week!
More on the personal side, January included a few date nights (yay!) and lots of time with our families. My weekends are much more open this time of year and I have loved soaking up as much family time as I can get. I’m still learning the ukulele (thanks, YouTube) and it’s so challenging yet super fun!
Also, I’ve been hitting the gym HARD! My girls and I entered a DietBet challenge where you pay $30 to enter and strive to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. The winners split the winning pot which is over $523,000!!!! There are over 17K players so we’ve been having fun working out, eating healthy and cheering each other on. I’m only a half a pound away ya’ll, Wish us luck, it ends this weekend!!
On to the business side of life!
I launched a Hampton Roads Vendor Guide for brides! I interviewed some of the TOP Hampton Roads wedding vendors (planners, hair stylists, florists, DJs, bridal shops and so much more) to create a special e-guide for brides to help with the planning process! Not only will you discover tips for choosing each vendor but you’ll read common mistakes brides often make in different planning areas (like when trying to decide on a hairstyle and or makeup look). I’m SO thankful for the local businesses that shared their knowledge and expertise to create this e-guide!
I also created a few freebies for Creative Entrepreneurs! Click below for your copy 🙂
