January was an AMAZING month, ya’ll!! It was seriously the perfect start to the new year. Lots of time spent with family, friends, my sweet couples and exciting developments in my business! I’ve realized that I can sometimes get so caught up in either planning far ahead or planning the right now that I don’t spend a lot of time reflecting and moving step by step. So this year I’m going to start blogging monthly recaps and at look at the months ahead! So today I’m starting with a review of January 🙂
Getting in front of the camera
Shaun & I were models in a portrait workshop over the weekend! My sweet friend Elizabeth Henson asked us to participate and I am SOOOOOO loving the sneak peeks I’ve seen!! The amazing Dhalia Edwards did my makeup and Stephanie B did my hair. I haven’t gotten all dolled up in a VERY long time and I can’t wait to share more!
First Engagement Session of 2016
Chelsea & Jaine kicked engagement season off with a bang!!
Launched a new look
YAY for a new logo and a ton of variations by April of PaperDolls Design!
Snow Day
Koa had his first real snow day! We had a ton of fun being stuck in the house for an entire weekend and these pictures just crack me up haha!
Fun times with these ladies!!
Holly, Heidi and I threw Liz a surprise baby shower and can’t wait to meet Baby Henson! <3
Published in Print
Picture me FREAKING OUT when I saw this shot of Tanisha & her bridesmaids in The Wedding Planner of Hampton Roads Magazine!!
Finished my Bridal Welcome Magazine
FINALLY! I’m done! 60+ pages of helpful content and inspiration for my 2016 brides! It was so fun to go through images of the past few years and create a magazine of my beautiful couples! They are on the FedEx truck now and I can’t wait to hold them! Check out Paula on the cover page 🙂
Other highlights from January include hitting the YMCA 3 times a week with Koa, his first haircut, meeting more of my 2016 couples, receiving a WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Award, a Skype coaching recap with Katelyn James, choosing my one word of the year and my sister visiting with my nephew (I could snuggle him all day)! I’ll be back later this week to look ahead at February. Where has the time gone!?
What were your January highlights? 🙂
