Tanisha & Kermit | Colonial Williamsburg Engagement Photography

Tanisha & Kermit met at a professional development workshop Tanisha was facilitating. There was definitely a mutual attraction as Kermit noticed Tanisha’s beauty & wits and Tanisha thought he was cute too! Tanisha sent him a work related e-mail to start a conversation. They emailed back and forth and decided to further their conversation in person. They met at Bus Boys and Poets in DC. Tanisha brought paper to keep up the ‘work related’ conversation but Kermit only brought his smile! He was clearly there for personal reasons! They sat and chatted for SO long that the servers stopped bringing them water, ha!

Fast forward to when Kermit knew he wanted to be with Tanisha for the rest of his life! They were on their way to the airport and Tanisha was on the phone with her mom when Kermit asked her to get something out of his bag in the back seat. She hung up with her Mom, opened the bag and there was a small purple bag with a box inside. As they cruised down Interstate 495, Kermit (while driving!) grabbed her hand and asked if she would be Mrs. Burks. She said YES, of course! Sidebar- Kermit wanted to propose while Tanisha was still on the phone with her mom (because they are always on the phone, according to him haha)!  She called her Mom right back 🙂

I had a great time walking around Colonial Williamsburg with these two and loved that they included their chocolate lab named Seines! Can’t wait to shoot their wedding in Yorktown this October!
