Wedding season is just a few months away and I’m officially hiring 2017 second shooters! I am SO excited about all of the amazing couples I get to serve and I’m hiring 2-3 consistent second shooters to split my weddings for the year. I started my photography career years ago by second shooting and it helped me to get firsthand experience on wedding days, improve my skills and build my confidence! Those experiences shaped me as a wedding photographer and I’m excited to help others do the same.
The second shooter position is paid an hourly rate per wedding day. I’m looking for someone confident and comfortable with shooting 8-10 hour wedding days alongside me and assisting in documenting the day from different angles and different focal lengths. My second shooter must also be comfortable documenting the groom/groomsmen before the ceremony while I capture the bride getting ready and calling out names for family formal portraits. We’ll have so much fun together and I’ll give you instruction along the way!
Qualifications:
- Happy and warm personality!
- Adequate photography experience (weddings preferred) and portfolio
- DSLR camera and multiple lenses (Canon or Nikon preferred)
- Off camera flash equipment
- Reliable transportation on wedding days
- Must be able to commit to at least 5-10 wedding dates in the Hampton Roads, VA area upon hiring
