Well, July just flew by didn’t it?! I’m back with my monthly reflection and can’t believe we’re already into August. July was so busy and I loved every bit of it! Read on for a recap of July and a look ahead at what’s in store for August!
July Recap
I shot Dana & Jason’s Yorktown Beach maternity session and days later, they welcomed their baby boy!! So happy for them!
Sarah & Rob’s baseball gender reveal was a HIT (pun intended)! They are having a BOY!
I shot Brian & Melody’s backyard luau themed wedding! Their bridal was such a fun group!
Heather & Caige had the most beautiful and intimate Yorktown Beach wedding and we had a ton of portrait time! I adore these two!
Carter & Jurrand’s engagement session was extra special as they choose CNU as their backdrop (where they first met)! Can’t wait to shoot their Ford’s Colony Country Club wedding next year!
I am STILL swooning over Katherine & Ben’s Woman’s Club of Portsmouth wedding. The details, the joy and the night of dancing made photographer my heart so happy!
A Look Ahead at August
Trip to Los Angeles
I’m going to LA in less than 2 weeks to design, build and launch a new website!! I have been knee-deep in ‘homework’ collecting my best images, writing content & defining my style! It’s been a challenging but oh so rewarding process that I only wish I’d done sooner! I can’t wait to have a pretty new site!
Our Birthdays
Would you believe the month of August includes ALL of our birthdays?! Koa’s is the 14th, Shaun is the 25th and mine is the 26th. Fun fact: Koa was due on August 27th!! Isn’t that bizarre!? He ended up coming two weeks early! August is always fun month for us with so many celebrations 🙂
The heat has been unbearable this month so we plan on visiting more museums including the Children’s Museum of Virginia. Koa had a blast there! He’s obsessed with trains and they have an entire room displayed with them! He’s at such a fun age now and saying so many words and phrases. Love watching him learn and explore!
