Happy Tuesday!! This is going to be a short blog post but I feel it’s very needed! It’s rare to get a great quality picture of my family at this stage (“Look at the camera Koa! Over here, Koa! Smile!” haha!) so I think it deserves it’s own blog post.

This is my family. The McPherson Family. Angie, Shaun and Koa.

When you see any Facebook post, Instagram post, Pin, tweet, #hashtag, blog, etc. labeled MCPHERSON PHOTOGRAPHY- please know that this is us. My husband doesn’t second shoot with me and my 11 month old can’t edit (ha!) but they DO motivate, support and inspire this small business of mine in every way.

I truly don’t blog enough about my family so I figured it’s nice to take a pause in between my beautiful clients and give you a glimpse of where we are in this season of life. Shaun and I have been together for over 10 years and married for 4. Koa will be a year old in a few weeks and sometimes I just can’t believe we are here. If you told me at my prom 10 years ago that I would have this life with the guy I was dating at the time, I wouldn’t have believed you! If you told us in Hawaii 3 years ago that we would have a son we’d name after the resort we stayed in, I wouldn’t have believed you. If you told me I would play the role of wife, mom, small business owner/wedding photographer while working full-time, I DEFINITELY wouldn’t have believed you.

Thank you to my husband for picking my sneak peeks, packing my bags before weddings and understanding when I’m in my office editing/blogging/emailing/marketing until 2am. Thank you to my son for showing me unconditional love and teaching me how to balance this crazy life (and also for making me tear up during Mother/Son dances just at the thought of that being us some day. Please stop growing so fast!). Thank you all who are reading for supporting McPherson Photography. Thank you for supporting the McPherson Family. Thank you to clients who let me schedule portrait sessions on the weekdays so I can shoot weddings on weekends and have family time. Thank you to the brides & grooms who I develop friendships with so that on the wedding day, I don’t feel like just a vendor. Thank you to the supporters on my social media pages who like, comment and share my posts to show your love for my work and my clients and helping to get my name out there. Thank you to my family and friends for your everlasting support. Thank you to the photogra-friends & industry friends who I can talk to about anything business related and there’s no competition involved, just a sense of community. Thank you all. I truly appreciate the impact you all have on my life. I am incredibly blessed. I thank God for waking me up every morning to write another page towards each chapter in my book of life.

I am loving this chapter we are in.
