We are officially in the SECOND half of the year! Summer is in full swing and big things are happening, friends! Today I’m sharing a recap of June and a look ahead at July 🙂

June in Review

Warm, sunny weather = Engagements session bliss

Engagement sessions in June were so amazing because the weather was awesome! I remember having to reschedule a few sessions in the Spring because the rain wouldn’t let up. June was so sunny and warm on all of my scheduled engagement session dates and I was so thankful! Here’s a peek from Emilie & Ryan’s session at William & Mary. So sweet!

Weddings

The same amazing weather can be praised for my June weddings! Chelsea & Jaine had a beautiful Disney themed wedding at The Founders Inn and Spa with a TON of outdoor portrait time (thanks to a sweet First Look)!

Michelle & Nicolas had a lovely Greek Orthodox Wedding in Newport News and partied the night away!

Mastermind Group

Have you ever heard of a Mastermind group? It’s basically a group of people who get together on a regularly scheduled basis with the purpose of setting goals, holding each other accountable, brainstorming, encouraging, offering different perspectives and resources. I meet with my group every Wednesday for an hour via video chat. The group is run by Natalie Eckdahl, founder and host of the BizChix podcast and our mastermind group includes amazing female entrepreneurs in all different industries! Their job titles include: Modern Milkmaid & Cheesemaker, Marketing Strategist, Owner of a custom swimwear line, Lawyer/Illustrator, Lifestyle Management Concierge. I am LOVING this group and what everyone brings to the table individually. I have walked away from each call with a ton of new ideas in business and in life.

I booked a trip to LA!

AHHHHH! Last week I booked a trip to Los Angeles for the GoLive Workshop in August! This is a workshop where you design, build and LAUNCH a brand new website in TWO DAYS! I’ve had this website for a few years and knew I wanted to rebrand sometime soon. I saw this workshop through social media a few times and decided to take the leap sooner rather than later. I cannot wait to show you my process in rebranding this site and still can’t believe I’ll launch it in a 2 day timeframe. The best part? I’m going with my girls Elizabeth Henson & Crystal Belcher! LA, get ready for us!! 🙂

Family Fun

We have been using our Busch Gardens and Water Country passes like crazy haha! Isn’t Koa adorable in this swim gear?! We hit up the Food & Wine Festival at Busch Gardens on Father’s Day and again the following week. We left full both times!

Homework for GoLive Workshop

The workshop tasked us with homework to prepare for launching our new websites! Tasks include creating a Pinterest board with only 15-20 style/design inspiration images, explaining the heart behind our businesses, describing our dream client, etc. Fun!
