Proposal, engagement, gender reveal… oh my! This day was full of surprises! Our cousin Kiana and her boyfriend AJ are due with a sweet baby in January and they invited everyone over for a ‘Gender Reveal’ last weekend. AJ reached out to me MONTHS ago to tell me he wanted to propose and wanted it photographed. I was so excited!! When they found out they were expecting, he switched it up a bit. He told Kiana he wanted to have pictures taken on the morning of the gender reveal to capture their excitement for the pregnancy and finding out the sex of the baby. We met around 10:30am on a beautiful Sunday morning and the plan set into action.. 🙂

Let me set the scene! AJ told Kiana he wanted to blindfold them to symbolize the ‘surprise’ of the gender reveal happening in a few hours. 

I told Kiana I wanted a few by herself (so AJ could get into place)

BOOM! Their friend Nigel came in from South Carolina to SING for the proposal! Kiana loves his voice so this was a beautiful surprise!

She immediately recognized his voice, took off her blindfold and turned around to see what was happening. AJ even incorporated their families! 

They’re engaged!!! 

A few hours later, we met at their place for a gender reveal.
