What a trip!! I traveled to Los Angeles with Elizabeth and Crystal to attend the GoLive HQ Workshop and it was a blast! The main goal of the workshop is to build, design and launch a new website in just 2 days. We flew into LAX last Monday and spent the free day exploring Beverly Hills and taking headshots and spend Tuesday and Wednesday at the workshop. I love this photo because it is such a perfect representation of the workshop’s energy from beginning to end!

Promise Tangeman owns GoLive HQ and hosts the workshop in her home. I seriously wanted to move in haha! Her interior decorating skills are awesome and I loved the modern set up for classroom instruction! Not only did promise take us through the steps of building our websites in ShowIt 5, she taught us some tips for refining our sites, website do’s and don’ts, social media and so much more! She even had one-on-one sessions with us to talk about our design goals. Promise is the definition of a #girlboss and I am truly inspired by her wisdom, drive and fun-loving personality.
Asher Gardner, Creative Manager of GoLive HQ made the experience so personal from the beginning. She tasked us with branding homework weeks before the workshop, reached out to each one of us through emails and Facebook and had one-on-one Skype sessions with all of the attendees. It was so great to see her and hug her in person!

The hosts greeted us with mimosas as soon as we stepped in the front door haha! Each day we were treated to an amazing breakfast, lunch and delicious beverages 🙂
Ya’ll, we worked our BUTTS off!! From 9am-5pm Tuesday and Wednesday, we were designing and building our websites with our brand in mind. GoLive HQ had designers to help us and the ShowIt guys were there, too! The CEO of ShowIt even hopped on my computer a few times to bring my ideas to life. There was definitely a lot for the three of us to learn about ShowIt because we all had previous WordPress blogs. ShowIt 5 is all about ‘drag and drop’ and I have never used an easier platform! I can literally move boxes of content, images or links around wherever I please! But with so much freedom, comes discipline! I had to use an artistic eye to ensure the website and its pages were cohesive.

Promise’s dog was SOOOOO cute and cuddly!!
Bahaha I love this shot of Crystal! It was launch time and she had to get her drink ready!
Cheers to a new website!! Everyone presented their website on the big screen and after sitting behind my own laptop for 2 days, I loved seeing everyone else’s creations!
It was such an awesome experience! We told Promise to give us a reason to come back haha! The small group atmosphere, high energy and educational type of workshop was just what we needed!
Liz and Crystal, you two are my spirit animals!! I had the best time laughing, staying up until 1am working, talking business and family, and just traveling to the other side of the country and back with you two. Ya’ll have the warmest hearts and the constant support we all give to each other is such a blessing in my life! You both inspire me and motivate me every single day! Let’s book another trip!! 🙂 Love ya’ll! xoxo!
Thank you so much for coming and for the sweet words. Your site turned out KILLER!!! and I really fell in love with you 3 ladies. Definitely need to figure out how to get you back! Love ya!
