I had a blast venturing through Colonial Williamsburg with Blair & Mark during their engagement session! These two met in college- Blair attended Longwood and Mark went to Hampden Sydney. He was a Chi Phi and her perpetual dance partner in school (so sweet)! Their proposal story includes a series of unfortunate events and I LOVE the way Blair tells it:

“He was trying to take me to a nice restaurant, but I was having a horrible day at work and didn’t want to go. Then we were supposed to have a nice picnic on our dock which is on the Lafayette River, but I ended up getting off work 2 hours late and by that time it was pouring. So instead he sent me on the back deck with a glass of wine to watch the rain and relax. He was acting weird but I didn’t realize it was because the ring was in his pocket and he didn’t want me to see. So, he dropped down on one knee on the rainy deck and asked me. Of course I cried and also freaked out because the box the ring came in had this amazing LED light and it was so fancy. Then he snapped a pic and put it on Facebook before I got to tell my mom or dad. Oops 🙂  The rest is history.”

I love proposal stories where the girl is so oblivious and makes it more difficult than it needs to be LOL! These two were full of laughs and gave me a pretty awesome history lesson as we walked through town. I’m so excited for their fall wedding! <3
