Our dear friends Lianne and Mark are expecting a sweet baby this October!! I am SO happy for them and so glad I can shout it to the rooftops now that they’ve announced! Lianne is already glowing. We did a quick session to capture their announcement and will do a full maternity session with her cute belly this summer 🙂
I can go on and on about their journey, patience and faith in God but I’ll let Lianne do the talking:
“It is finally here! The moment we’ve prayed, cried and waited ever so patiently for! The last couple of years, we’ve watched everyone around us gain the blessing of starting a family as we sat anxious and discouraged. We endured seeing specialists, taking on various tests, procedures and surgeries, all to no avail. To say it has been mentally exhausting and emotionally draining would be an understatement. While we thought we were ready for this next chapter in our lives, it was obviously not our time. We realized we had reached a season of waiting. Not only were we forced to build patience and persevere, we learned the importance of the fulfillment of time. There is a reason and purpose to everything. Learning to trust in Gods perfect, sovereign plan while enduring a season of waiting is the ultimate test of ones faith, trust, and full dependence on him. God wants us to be anxious for nothing and to pray for everything. His plans for us are to give us a future and a hope. Growing in your faith during a season of waiting is sometimes where we find ourselves the closest to God, gaining the clarity, direction and guidance we need to be open vessels ready and willing to fulfill his will. We are incredibly humbled and thankful that God has finally sent us our blessing. It is our prayer that our testimony be encouragement to anyone who may be discouraged while in a season of waiting. Remember, waiting is never a waste of time. All good things are worth waiting for. Let this time build your faith and give you a greater hope of what God has prepared for you.”
For this child I have prayed, and the Lord has granted the desires of my heart. -1 Samuel 1:27
