Today is the first day of October which means it is officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My dear friend Sonya Jatho has recently been diagnosed with a rare type of breast cancer and I am hosting mini-sessions on Sunday, October 19th to raise money for her treatment and recovery! Here’s some information from Sonya’s Go Fund Me website:
“Sonya Marksberry Jatho, a kind and generous friend, has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive invasive metastatic mammary carcinoma, a fast-growing type of breast cancer. She is her only source of income.
Her road to recovery will be long and challenging. Inevitably, there will be times when she will be unable to work, and this fund is to provide for medical costs and living expenses while undergoing extensive treatment.
Asking for help is not an easy thing to do. Each and every donation and prayer will make a difference and is appreciated with the deepest of gratitude. I hope this fund will help bring her peace of mind so that she can devote all of her energy to getting well.”
Being neighbors, I’ve known Sonya and her awesome family since before I can remember! She has always had the sweetest soul and is such a free spirit. You will ALWAYS see a smile on her face, even on the hardest of days. She stopped by this week to catch up and we took some pictures to capture her beautiful new look! She. is. breathtaking!!!! It is amazing to see her spirits so high- I am so inspired by her!
I am hosting a Mini-Session fundraiser for Sonya on Sunday, October 19!
